Freeze Preparation Clarification
We Strongly Advise Our Customers to Take the following Steps in Preparation for the Coming Cold Front

Good Afternoon Backyard Vacation Oasis Customer,
As many of you know we will be expecting some severe climate changes and are wanting to help you prepare your equipment as well as help prevent damage to your pool equipment due to climate change.
First and foremost, it is very important to keep the pump running throughout the freeze and to disconnect the auto fill line (Please see the attached image below on how to properly disconnect the auto fill line).

ONLY IF POWER IS LOST DO THE FOLLOWING:
If we do happen to lose power in this turn of events, please follow the steps below to prevent any damage to your pool equipment (Please see the attached images below for further assistance).
BEFORE REMOVING ANY CAPS OR PLUGS TURN THE BREAKER OFF FOR THE POOL EQUIPMENT.

1. Loosen the air release nozzle at the top of the filter pod.
2. Open the drain cap located at the bottom of the filter and let the water drain out completely.


3. Remove the two (2) plugs on the right side of the pump and let the water drain out completely.
If you have a heater:
4. Open the unions at the bottom of the heater and let the water drain out completely.

5. When power is regained, replace all caps and plugs and fill the system with water before turning the breaker/pump back on.
The objective is to get all the water out of the pump, filter, heater and any plumbing above ground level. When removing the parts be sure to place them all in a safe container (i.e., Ziplock bag) to prevent any losses. While taking these steps does not guarantee that damage will not occur, they are the best precautions if there is to be any power shortages during this time or times in the future.
